World Wide Knit In Public Day (WWKIPDAY) is unique, in that it’s the largest knitter run event in the world.
In 2017 there were 1125 Knit-In-Public events in 54 different countries
We’re joining in with the WWKIPDAY celebrations with two ‘Knit Along’ events on the 9th June.
One at London Heathrow and another close to home at Inverness Botanic Gardens. Come along, meet new people and enjoy the knitting buzz. At both events we’ll be talking about our Charity Partner, SCBU, and how you can help us to make a difference with our Loch Ness Knit Fest Charity Knit Along.
Located somewhere else? You can always search the World Wide Knit In Public Day site which lists events worldwide!
Sat 9 June 2018
11:00 – 15:00
Inverness Botanic Gardens
We’ll have plenty of yarn and needles so whether you’re a beginner or a knitting-pro, we’d love to have you along. All who attend will receive a free goody bag on the day! It’s completely free – but we do ask you register for the event so we know how many LNKF goody bags to prepare.
Look out for Caitlin, Jane and Lynn from the Knit Fest team!
LONDON HEATHROW EVENT
For the third year running, the wonderful Bramley Knitters will be set-up in Terminal 2 and Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport. They’ve got plenty of wool and needles and will be encouraging travellers to have a go!
