Limited Edition ‘Lady of May’ Wool

DyeNinja have created a limited edition 100% fine merino wool especially for Loch Ness Knit Fest 2017. The ‘Lady of May’ colourway is inspired by our charity partner, The Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild. It’s a good solid, soft mid blue. A colour the Queen Mother wore a lot when she was younger.

DyeNinja is a small indie yarn dyer based in Livingston, Scotland. Sheila hand-dyes all the yarn on-site in small batches to ensure quality control. They offer a huge range of clear and vibrant colours that are just bliss for hand-knitters.

You’ll be able to get your hands on this unique yarn and more from DyeNinja in the Loch Ness Knit Fest Marketplace. Keep an eye out for the small batch of this special wool, some of it will be awarded as prizes to those knitting for our charity partner and a limited number of skeins will also be on sale.

The only other place this wool will be making an appearance is at London Heathrow on the 8th and 9th September where sixteen of the Bramley Knitters are going to be encouraging airport visitors to knit for our charity partner. We know hand knitting is a powerful hobby that brings people together, challenges the mind and allows us to express our creativity so we’re excited to share it with those waiting for their flights on these days! Anyone who participates in the knitting activities will be given an exclusive Loch Ness Knit Fest pillow, created from the beautiful ‘Lady of May’ DyeNinja wool.
