On Saturday 14th October 2017 we’ll be hosting our annual Gala Dinner at the Mercure Hotel, perched on the banks of the beautiful River Ness. The night will take your taste buds on a Highland fling with a delicious 3-course meal of Scottish-inspired dishes.
You’ll hear from our guest speaker and local tourism figurehead, Willie Cameron, who will address the haggis and share the stirring story of Loch Ness.
Then our models will take to the catwalk to showcase the work of three incredible designers with this year’s Loch Ness Knit Fest fashion show.
So who are the ladies behind the designs?
Di Gilpin is known for her innovative cable work and considered one of the best designers in the country. Di works from her knitting studio in Fife and enjoys travelling around the Scottish countryside, taking in the textures and colours that inform her work.
Christel Seyfarth comes from the westernmost island of Denmark and is inspired by her sailor family upbringing. Christel is highly renowned for her extraordinary contemporary fair-isle designs in beautiful and exceptional colour and pattern combinations.
Tartan Creations have a wide range of 100% wool and tweed ladies accessories, ranging from reversible ponchos, infinity scarves, pashminas, clutch bags and corsages.
It’s an evening of real charm and inspiration in the heart of the Highlands. We hope you’re able to join us.
